CONTENT OVERVIEW

Furthermore we have spent highly to acquire past examination papers from the different exam boards along with examiners’ reports which give our students the full range of exam banks at their disposal. Practicing past question papers opens the door to exam success. We ensure that we are aware of the exam board a student is following during admission so that we can monitor the action plan of the student at close proximity till the exam time. Our teachers and student work together with a student planner to plan their goals and objectives ahead of time.

MATHEMATICS

Aims

The state and national curriculum for mathematics aims to ensure that all pupils:

  1. Become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics, including varied and frequent practice with increasingly complex problems over time, so that pupils develop conceptual understanding and the ability to recall and apply knowledge rapidly and accurately.

  2. Reason mathematically by following a line of enquiry, conjecturing relationships and generalisations, and developing an argument, justification or proof using mathematical language.

  3. Can solve problems by applying their mathematics to a variety of routine and non-routine problems with increasing sophistication, including breaking down problems into a series of simpler steps and persevering in seeking solutions.
